For the Love of Silver

'For the Love of Silver' was launched in Hobart in May 2023.

It is the new sister store to the long-standing 'For the Love of Gold' in the heart of Hobart City, Tasmania.

All of our items are made entirely out of .925 Sterling Silver. We do not use any plated metals so you can be sure you are purchasing quality, well made jewellery that won't chip or turn green over time.

You can get a real sense of the craftsmanship when watching our jewellers hard at work behind their benches through the viewing window in the store.

We also offer cleaning, repair, and resizing services.

  • Shipping & Delivery

    • Regular and Express postage is available. Just choose which option you would like in the checkout section.
    • Orders are usually packed and shipped within 2 working days.

  • Local Pick Up

    We offer local pick up for online orders.

    Orders placed before 2pm will be ready on the same day for pick up.

    Pick up times are between 10:00am and 4:00pm Monday - Friday. Saturday pick ups are available from 10:00am - 2:00pm

  • Refunds & exchanges

    We follow the guidelines in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

    • We will gladly provide a credit note or exchange for change of mind, as long as the item is in original condition and with proof of purchase*
    • We will provide a refund, credit note or exchange for a faulty item if it can not be repaired in store. This does not include general wear and tear or misuse of the item.
    • Estate items come with a 3 month warranty.

    *Excludes earrings and final Sale items.

  • Resizing, Polishing & Repairs

    We offer resizing, polishing, and repairs in-store.

    This is on a case-by-case basis, please visit us in-store for a quote.

    We also offer valuations for insurance purposes and engraving services.

  • Materials

    All of our jewellery is made from .925 Sterling Silver.

    Some of our items feature 9ct Gold, Copper, and Brass.

    Our stones are natural with the exception of a few that have been heat- or colour-treated to enhance their depth and colour. This allows us to keep some of the costs down for our customers.

    None of our jewellery is plated.

  • Jewellery Care

    Silver jewellery is very easy to care for. Look after it with these tips and your pieces can last a lifetime!

    • Keep safe in a jewellery-box or soft pouch provided.
    • Use of Silver polishing cloths and cleaning solutions that we have available in store will help keep it shiny and clean.
    • Avoid wearing your jewellery to bed, when playing sports, and when using harsh cleaning products, perfumes, and moisturisers.
